DoSchooling – General Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the DoSchooling School Management System (“DoSchooling”, “we”, “our”, “us”). By using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the platform.
1. Definitions
- Platform: The DoSchooling web and mobile applications.
- School: Any educational institution that subscribes to DoSchooling.
- Users: Includes school administrators, teachers, staff, students, parents, and guardians.
- Data Controller: The School, which decides what personal data is collected and processed.
- Data Processor: DoSchooling, which processes data on behalf of the School.
2. Eligibility
- Schools may only register authorized staff members as administrators.
- Parents/guardians may only access records of their own children.
- Students under 18 may use the platform only with verifiable parental/guardian consent.
- Parents/guardians are responsible for monitoring their child’s use of the platform. DoSchooling does not knowingly permit students to register accounts independently without school or parental authorization.
3. Account Registration & Security
- Users must provide accurate and up-to-date information when creating accounts.
- Users are responsible for ensuring that information they upload (e.g., student details, marks, or attendance) is accurate and lawful.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
- Any unauthorized use of your account must be reported immediately to the School or DoSchooling at support@doschooling.in.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Misuse the platform for unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purposes.
- Upload, share, or distribute content that is defamatory, obscene, or violates intellectual property rights.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access, reverse-engineer, or disrupt platform functionality.
- Share student or school data outside authorized purposes.
Violation of this section may result in suspension, termination of your account, or legal action, as determined by DoSchooling or the School.
5. Data Protection & Privacy
- DoSchooling processes personal data strictly on behalf of Schools, in compliance with the DPDP Act 2023 and other applicable laws.
- Data handling practices are outlined in our Privacy Policies (Students/Parents, Teachers/Staff) available at https://doschooling.in/privacy.
- Schools are responsible for obtaining verifiable consent from students/parents before sharing data with DoSchooling.

- Resolution Timeframe: Complaints will be resolved within 30 days, as per DPDP Act 2023 requirements.
7. Services & Features
- Features may vary depending on the School’s subscription plan.
- We reserve the right to add, modify, or discontinue features with prior notice to Schools via in-system notifications or email.
- Some services (e.g., online payments, messaging, virtual classrooms via Zoom/Google Meet) rely on third-party providers. Users must comply with the terms and privacy policies of these providers, and DoSchooling is not responsible for their data handling practices, downtime, or failures.
8. Payments & Billing (For Schools)
- Subscription fees must be paid as per the plan chosen.
- Fees are non-refundable unless required by law. No refunds will be issued for partial months of service.
- Schools must cancel their subscription before the renewal date to avoid auto-renewal charges.
- Failure to pay may result in suspension or termination of services.
9. Intellectual Property
- All software, design, content, and trademarks on DoSchooling are our property or licensed to us.
- Users may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written consent.
- Schools retain ownership of their own content and student/academic records uploaded to the platform.
10. Limitation of Liability
- DoSchooling provides services “as is” and does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
- Except where prohibited by law, in no event shall DoSchooling’s total liability, whether arising in contract, tort, or otherwise, exceed the total subscription fees paid by the School in the 12 months preceding the claim.
- We are not liable for:
- Any inaccuracies in data uploaded by Schools or Users.
- Unauthorized access resulting from weak or compromised passwords.
- Losses or damages arising from user actions or third-party services.
11. Force Majeure
- DoSchooling shall not be liable for delays, failures, or interruptions caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, cyberattacks, labor disputes, government restrictions, or failures of third-party providers.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless DoSchooling from claims, damages, or losses arising from:
- Misuse of the platform.
- Violation of these Terms.
- Unauthorized sharing of personal or student data.
13. Termination
- Schools may terminate their subscription by providing 30 days’ written notice to support@doschooling.in.
- DoSchooling may suspend or terminate accounts for violation of these Terms, non-payment, or misuse.
- Upon termination, Schools may request a data export in a machine-readable format within 30 days, subject to verification. After 30 days, all data may be securely deleted from DoSchooling servers and backups, subject to applicable law.
- Certain data may be retained for a longer period if required by applicable law or regulatory obligations.
14. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
- These Terms are governed by the laws of India.
- In case of a dispute, the parties shall first attempt to resolve the matter amicably. If unresolved within 30 days, the dispute shall be referred to arbitration in Bangalore, Karnataka, in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.
- If arbitration fails, disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bangalore, Karnataka, India.
15. Changes to Terms
- We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be communicated via:
- In-system notifications within the DoSchooling platform.
- Email alerts to registered administrators.
- Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
